WordPress Theme Security Issues

No doubt that WordPress has become one of the most incredible publishing software and being used by tons of bloggers and companies across the world due to its functions & features. Thousands of plugins and themes are being produced and available just about everything.

Unfortunately, some people are creating free WordPress themes which contains variety of potentially malicious or unwanted code with different kind of themes and author’s hidden intentions. A while ago I was googling and found this very useful plugin TAC (Theme Authenticity Checker) which scans the entire WordPress theme files for potentially malicious or unwanted codes. If such potentially malicious or unwanted code found, this will show the path to the theme file, the line number and even a small snippet of the suspect/malicious code.

After my little research and having a chat about this plugin with my friend I came to know that this is the quickest way to find malicious code in WordPress themes.
