WAW Hamburg – how it was

Opened has evening Dr. Jochen Spöhrer of Tribal DDB by speaking about personalized Web Analytics at VW and how to email campaigns have been optimized Web Analytics Wednesday yesterday.

The presentation was provided me by Jochen Spöhrer available.

At the beginning of the search was however after the correct input. Since some time ago the street has been renamed but is the sign on the building of Tribal DDB to an other street names, all guests were first put to the test. Who still had succeeded, the expected a really stylish conference room on the eighth floor with great views towards downtown Hamburg.

In addition to the presentation, a small discussion board was on the program. Moderator Sven Gerber of s dynamics asked different questions in the round then briefly discussed. The leader but powerful pressed on the tube as sponsored buffet was waiting by WebTrends. Participants at the expert panel were:

* Frank Reese of ideal observer
* Dr. Jochen Spöhrer of Tribal DDB
* Prof. Wolfgang Büscher from the University of applied sciences Oldenburg
* Jan Kammerath GermanWings
* Franco Paolucci Omniture
* My humble self

Were questions that were taken up in the discussion, among other things:

* Where Web analytics companies should “hung up”? External consultancy or a dedicated place for a Web Analyst? Related was also very interesting VW has already set an own Web analyst. German wings cold coffee is because that have even two. Tends to be the topic requires some tuition, especially in the companies that run your business on the Internet. Also is the Web Analytics traveled out of IT/technology towards marketing.
* Where does the journey go to? Which innovations are expected in the near future by the providers of the Web analytics tools?
* Where do we stand in five years? This question could be answered but difficult. But probably we will sit in five years and rave about how easy that 2007 was everything.

Following there were many great conversations with excellent meals with slice and beer. An addressed topic was the Buiseness intelligence and whether provider such as SAS are not the future stars because they already have much know-how and technology. They should make “only” purchase of Web Analytics. This is certainly exciting explosive for a next Web Analytics Wednesdays.

Thanks to the organizers and hosts.

I hope I have not unprofitable caught the participants in the photos ;-)
