Setting the WordPress admin
The layout of WordPress 2.5 Admin not so already from the outset I liked. Too pale to complex was and I find it.
Now there are so fortunately enough WordPress fans, which is similar and there are a few solutions to the problem. Who is not so happy with the look of WordPress Admin, which should read here.
The new WordPress admin layout
I think the default Admin theme really misslungen. Okay, it seems to be Geschmackssache because I have heard already positive votes.
However, I think simply to fade, to washed out, little contrast and simply complex.
The old layout was not especially beautiful but of optics forth I found even more practical as the new admin theme there.
After installing WordPress 2.5.1 I have endured just 24 hours with the new admin theme there. But then had to attempt to remedy and 2 possibilities offered it.
Make yourself the admin area
On one, you can change the colour of the admin area with an appropriate plugin. The “Easy Admin Color Schemes” plugin makes it easy admin color change.
On the one hand, there are 4 main colors you can change. These 4 colors are used throughout the admin area.
In addition to these four main colors you can change the whole CSS file of the themes and save it as your own theme.
His best admin theme so who desire and time here can make.
We could thus make the theme including modelled a corporate design.
It is a nice thing, but quite frankly I said no time.
So I had to look me for a final solution.
A new admin theme
WordPress 2.5 Admin Theme Fluency
I found these in the admin theme “Fluency”. This Admin theme existed already before WordPress 2.5 and even then, I found very interesting. It looks simply cool and immediately I liked. Finally no blue :-)
So I downloaded the theme download and installed. It makes a very professional impression and not only the colors were changed.
The navigation is now left aligned and I find that ever a big improvement.
The colors are much better and the contrast is only significantly stronger.
As a result a much better overview, you better begin, resulting in total.
There are still a number of other admin themes, but I found all not so great.
Now I am glucklich(er)
Using the admin theme “Fluency” I feel much better and makes it to look fun in the admin properly again.
I would recommend anyone who has problems with the new admin theme “Fluency” or the color plugin. Because if it is not fun to view the admin the posts suffer.
At least for me, the case would have been to that. So but is more ingenious posts no longer in the way :-)
