Secondly, IBM is now bought Unica
True the motto “One is still” beats IBM this year for the second time on the Web analytics market to. Recently completed the acquisition of Coremetrics and IBM the intention Unica to accept today announced. Certainly a bit surprising, IBM strikes twice in such a short time, more considered but certainly it makes sense. Unica is yes no pure Web analytics provider and very well placed specially in data integration. The portfolio of Coremetrics and Unica overlap while essentially, provide but enough leeway for synergies.
This second acquisition so clearly underlines that Web Analytics is one of the key issues in the digital economy. Obviously has IBM recognized that it leaves a clear hole without a solution in this segment and therefore equally placed to the dock. The intention to assume everyone Unica 500 also shows that it is a strategic decision to foothold on the market. If successful it IBM solutions Unica and sent to integrate Coremetrics there certainly grows a new top player.
