Is WordPress 2.5 today?
After last week in vain awaited on the release of version 2.5, the new WordPress version will now appear.
The opinions are so mixed with the bloggers. Some welcome new version or enjoy every new version anyway. Other changes are most backend not really necessary.
At least there seems now to be a complacency, regarding the colors of the admin area.
Color selection of home
So situation, version 2.5 with the possibility seems equipped, back to the original colors can reset the color scheme of back-ends.
Of course one must first look as the new color scheme then acts in use. But the first impression was not so special.
Unnecessary changes?
Yes, the question whether it is necessary that so much is built to the admin is now. At least the visual appearance is by a variety of plugins easy and fully customize.
I use the plugin “Advanced Admin Menus”, which makes the “normal” menus drop down menus for example already recently. This saves clicks and provides significantly faster work.
In this respect I think fits the old nor the new navigation now. And it will be for version 2.5 of this plugin. Therefore I will wait a whole while until I when independent switch in the network to the new WordPress version.
However, I will certainly change when a smaller blog, easy to talk to.
Not every blogger is a freak!
This is not evil. :-)
Not every blogger wants to install plugins or tinker code. Such “normal” blogger is already interesting improvements made to the admin. Time will tell whether the changes really improvements are.
And the great outcry in German, but also in the American blogosphere about version 2.5 has certainly plenty with habit. The previous admin layout was now very long, and oh so modern bloggers are but just normal Gewohnheitstiere ;-)
You will get to used to this version and in a few months or years, it is quite normal be WordPress looks.
The first admin theme for WordPress 2.5
There is already a very interesting theme for WordPress 2.5 admin area. It hears the name Fluency and I like very.
The anthracite looks pretty stylisch and the contrast is much better than the original 2.5 Admin theme.
I will test that time anyway.
I look forward to each case whether today appears version 2.5. If not, it would already extremely embarrassing.
