GMarks:: Firefox extension for Google Bookmarks

Google Bookmarks should be one of Google probably worst offerings. There is no really usable interface, the search goes on strike and you can argue about the appearance of bookmarks and the editing features. The Firefox addon GMarks brings out this service still the last, making itself an indispensable bookmark tool for Firefox it and themselves.

GMarks access directly to your Google Bookmarks and displays them in a traditional bookmarks view of Firefox. You can access both the “GMarks” menu, the sidebar, or also the “organize bookmarks” window on his Google Bookmarks. These are each sorted folders – these are created from the labels that have been created within Google Bookmarks.

Other than the Google toolbar, which you also can access the bookmarks, you can edit directly the bookmarks with GMarks – and even via drag and drop. GMarks also nested labels or folder (they do not appear naturally in Google Bookmarks) and a much better search function as the Google-owned [what actually is the embarrassing about the whole thing - at least for Google]

And because online bookmarks are so beautiful, you can also directly hide Firefox bookmarks. Favorite star of Firefox may also be replaced by the of GMarks. This one accesses the online bookmarks as well as on the offline-bookmarks – with the advantage that you can access also from other PCs;-) If you have installed the Google toolbar, you must enter your access data not once.

Really a handy tool and clean for me once a way my rather extensive bookmark system up. So far that would have been a huge effort lack features of Google Bookmarks. Now drag & drop is very much easier:-)
